31 Days: Day Thirteen
Today was wet and windy and kinda slightly sucky when I was actually at work. Oh, well. It was a Pooh Bear Blustery Day. Hee.
I also think I might touch up last night's prompt at some point to smooth it out and make it... Um, better.
World: Kingdom
Characters: Alex
He loved this moment. It came only once or twice a game but, when it did, he felt like he could do anything in the world. The individual cheers melted all into just one big roar and a quick glance at the stands showed only a massive sea of humanity. He could never pick out individual faces, even if he tried. Since that game weeks ago, he knew that he could always count on a few of his fellow Guardians to be in the crowd but, even with such distinctive traits as Loni's vibrant hair or Clover's exaggerated aura of personally space, he only knew where to look when they told him ahead of time.
And, after the dress-down he got from coach when he nearly missed a play because he was trying to find them, he stopped even trying. It was enough to know one or two or even all of them were out there. He felt better about it all as if they were part of the team, too. He guessed they were, just a different team than the one he currently stood on the field with, and he grinned at the thought. One of his teammates caught the grin and laughed, shaking his head. "Crazy asshole," he teased.
Alex shrugged and indicated the surrounding crowd with a little jerk of his chin before rubbing his hands together, locking his fingers, and stretching his arms before him until he felt the faint pop in his shoulders.
