A Hat Full Of Sky by Terry Pratchett - The second in the Tiffany Aching series. I have to say, it was a much slower start for me than the first one and it is the first Pratchett that I ever had to set down on purpose. About a third of the way in, though, I got properly into things and began really enjoying it. The characters are still lovely and god please the Nac Mac Feegles. I wish I knew why the first third left me so bleh. It's utterly unlike a Pratchett for me!
The Vicious Circle: Mysteries and Crime Stories from the Algonquin Round Table edited by Otto Penzler - Mixed feelings about this and I think it's because the writers of the ART were such a very, very period-specific group. They were the flavor and the trends of the 1920's. I think this is why some of the things were just... not to my taste. I laughed a fair bit and I still love Dorothy Parker's Big Blonde a fair bit but, by and large, this is not something I'll probably read again. I have a feeling the wit is too dated for me to appreciate in a way other than purely intellectual. You know. "This is deemed funny so I will find it so."
