And it's called book accumulation. I can't just pick up one book. I adopt whole herds of them. In my defense, this time the money went towards the American Association of University Women and their many scholarships (one of which I received yonks ago).

* 1929 copy of John Donne's complete prose and poetry
* Love's Ripening by Rumi (believe it or not, a volume of Rumi I don't have!)
* The Power of Myth - Joseph Campbell with Bill Moyers
* Haunted Legends - edited by Ellen Datlow and Nick Mamatas, uncorrected proof with some sort of signature
* Tales of the Slayer, vol 1 (Yes, it's essentially Buffy fanfiction, hush.)
* By The River Piedra I Sat Down & Wept - Paulo Coelho
* The Canary Trainer - Nicholas Meyer (from the memoirs of John H Watson, MD)
* The Works of A. Conan Doyle
* The Science of Sherlock Holmes - EJ Wagner
* and three trashy romance novels at a quarter a piece... The only one worth mentioning has the hilarious title of "What The Librarian Did".

All total, the damage was $7. It could have been much, much worse. Though this does kind of defeat the book culling the other day when I unloaded a good dozen-plus, doesn't it?

I respectfully disagree. Book accumulation is NEVER a problem. :D
